Cafe Aviva is a heartfelt tribute to our mother, Aviva. She was a woman who lived with a twinkle in her eye, a hearty laugh, and a sense of style that turned heads. Aviva believed in the motto 'Life is too short to blend in' — and she made sure she never did.

She loved dressing up; no outfit was ever complete without a touch of a sparkly necklace or shimmering earrings, and she enjoyed nothing more than getting her hair done — the more dramatic the better.

Beyond fashion, Aviva had a deep appreciation for good food. Whether it was a cozy dinner or a lively celebration, she believed food, like life, should be enjoyed to the fullest. We brought that warmth and joy to 559 Main Street on Roosevelt Island.
